My engineering work began with CAD/CAM/CAE, machine vision, and robotics. It later included knowledge-based engineering, product design, manufacturing, electrified propulsion, and battery development.

Across those settings, I saw decisions written in one place continue through requirements, software, controls, and operating practice. Once a choice was put into effect, its consequences could continue to unfold as conditions changed. New evidence could reveal an overlooked cost or an opportunity to improve performance, yet fail to reach someone able to respond.

That experience shaped the question behind The Full Ledger: as our ability to act grows, how do we understand what our actions make possible, what they depend on, and the responsibilities they carry?

I want the book to be useful to the general public and industry. My interest in performance, stability, and sustainable production is part of the wider inquiry behind this work. This first book offers a working method readers can apply to bounded questions now, with documented examples to examine and challenge. Further engineering and testing will establish how specialized Evaluators perform in particular settings.
